A Little about usIn 2004, a collection of Nebraska School Personnel Administrators met to form a professional group to promote the work and goals of bringing high quality professionals to work in Nebraska schools. With the help of the Nebraska Council of School Administrators we were able to form a professional group and organize under the title of Nebraska Association of School Personnel Administrators. In the ten years we have been in existence, we have grown to 50 members representing 27 school districts and ESUs across Nebraska.

HR MattersOne of the most important resources in any organization is its human resources. To ensure educational achievement and advancement of students, a school district must hire and retain passionate, qualified and talented employees to teach its students and manage district operations. Since personnel costs typically consume 70-80 percent of the average school district budget, effective personnel management is critical to the success of a school district.
Depending on the size of a district, HR may be responsible for overseeing payroll and benefits, recruitment and hiring, training, policy development, employee evaluations, legal compliance, and much, much more. NASPA offers a access to a network of experts and a collection of materials to help you effectively manage the personnel function in your school district.
